Most people think that being tired, "stuck," or having a racing mind is just a personality flaw. You think you need to try harder or "think more positive."
You don’t. You have a "Garrisoned Locked Down" building.
Think of your life as a magnificent Skyscraper. You are the Architect at the very top, ready to build and grow. But deep in the basement, there is a Sentry (your nervous system) who runs the security for the whole building. His only job is to keep the structure safe.
The problem is, your Sentry is still following an old "War-Time Manual." If he hears a loud noise—like a stressful memory, a heavy email, or an old fear—he doesn't check with you first. He just reacts.
The Lockdown: The Sentry bolts every door. He physically clenches your jaw, your neck, and your breath to "brace" the building for an explosion that isn't coming. I call this the Garrison Response.
The High-Voltage Alarm: He turns on a siren that sends a constant "Shout" of static through every floor. This is why you can’t focus—you are trying to innovate while a fire alarm is screaming in your ear.
The Power Drain: Because the Sentry is using all the skyscraper’s electricity to keep the doors bolted and the sirens on, there is no power left for you. You feel "drained" because your building is using all its energy just to stay "locked down."
You aren't lazy. You are just living in a skyscraper where the Sentry thinks the war is still going on, and he has vetoed your ability to move freely.
